Hi everyone, nice to find a 'dedicated' Kubota board. Love my L35 (glide shift) after the upgrade from the B21. Whole different class of unit! So much so I sold the ATV and bought an RTV. Couple of issues with the RTV... 1st, has anyone heard of a way to upgrade the front axle to a locking diff? I don't know how many times I have had to get out the winch line ( when there was something to winch too...) cause one front wheel was dangling in midair, and of course, spinning. 2nd, has anyone tried to increase the traction on ice by using something like short hex head wood screws in the lugs of the tires. Sort of a 'do it yurself' stud job. Or is there a neater solution out there? Had lots of fun inventing stuff to cut down on the cold air inputs to the cab if anyone wants some ideas. Had a great hunting trip in New Brunswick with it! How about an upgrade on power...could use a little in the snow. Blower kits? As in turbocharging...? Great machine.

First I wonder what you have for tires as two sets might be in order with using the screws that they use on dirt bike tires for winter ice operation and a more aggressive lug style for your muddy conditions. I know if no limited slip for the axles. The horsepower we have discussed here before but with no sure answers. ....

I see this complaint frequently and on other sites as well and have now converted or at least helped a few with what I know about the RTV900!
1.It does take a different driving technique to benefit from the power it is capable of delivering!
2.It is important to realizes that it is a recreational vehicle and as such disqualifies itself from performing like an M60 Tank, C130 Transport or a Humvee for that matter!
3.All kidding aside, it is a substantially made machine and as long as you can use it within it's limitations (very few in my opinion and power isn't one of them)! ....

I'm using the stock tires that came with the 'worksite' version from Kubota. Never thought of it as a M60 type vehicle but with a ( Kubota accessory ), 72" blade on the front it doesn't take much ice under the snow to make it useless. Or, much snow in front of the blade to make it seem underpowered... Still, its a hoot to drive when the conditions 'permit'.

If you want it to perform like a tank you can start by dressing it like one. Pictures and videos are very impressive, but for $4838, first I need to buy the utility vehicle. Anybody ever used these. http://www.litefootatv.com/html/product_test_photos.htm ....
